The Open
|
One of the few golf events I can still be arsed to watch. Accuracy as much as distance will be important.Don't know what weather is predicted. So just long shots ew for me: Lowry 35/1 Henley 125/1 Harrington 175/1 Bradley 110/1
Look out for extra places on offer

Overpaid elitist golfers complaining ...
17th hole is too hard.
VERY Short par 3...
Poor spoilt lambs...

As a spectacle that was as boring as golf gets. But Harman's win was well deserved. His complete, all round game was very impressive and showed that you don't have to hit it as hard as McIlroy to succeed.

Had Straka at 175/1 EW but only had a tenner (5/5) on him. Lost the same on Adam Scott though. All in all, well happy!

He played really well in Scotland last week but I forgot to back him ! Boring day of golf to be fair though the weather put paid to anyone storming through the field to really put pressure on him

What odds could we have got on Harman before it started?

I alluded to this one being a long odds winner. unfortunately, I couldn't pick the right one.

C&P
Brian Harman has been in one bunker all week. One.
He hasn't had a three-putt. He's only missed one inside 10 feet.
And he's four under for the par threes - better than anyone else this week.
Daft numbers.

I've enjoyed it tbh... Good to see a proper all round golfer win again so comfortably rather than a par 5 bully
As for Rory, his short iron play and his wedge game in particular, been really bad for a long while now. And hitting drives into the crowd without shouting fore isn't on. Sulky little prick.

Good for Harman but it has been a bit dull. Weather hasn’t helped. Once again Mcilroys putter has deserted him in a major.

Plenty of big names up neat the top of the leaderboard. Could be a cracking Sunday.

It's a tightly packed field except for Harman who I do think will come back to the field. A rained off cricket might have me watching more of this today. The bunkers on 17 & 18 are making interesting finishes to rounds.

I'm not a golf fan, so can we just declare the West Ham supporting Yank the winner after his intervention?
Another trophy in the claret and blue cabinet. Much ta.

Love the fact that it was a West Ham who sorted out Just Stop Breathing.
That's another chapter in his book.

Just stop oil cunts being annoying again.
Simple answer.
They get arrested, they have emergency courts set up and if they plead guilty they get 1 year in prison. If they plead not guilty they get banged up until the trial.
